Trekkers Information Management System/ TIMS Card
This is the basic trekking permit that every trekker should get. This permit is to keep a record of the trekkers and for there safety as well. There are 2 types of TIMS cards you can find one is a Blue card which is organized by the trekking company for the trekking groups and the second one is a Green card which is for independent trekkers. For the permit card, you need to provide a photocopy of your passport and 2 pp size photos. The cost will be USD 10 for Green card and USD 20 for the Blue card. You can get this permit in Kathmandu or in Pokhara.
Conservation Area entrance fee
Most of the popular trekking routes are under the conservation area. And all these areas are managed by the National Trust of Nature Conservation. You can get this permit at the office of the National Trust in Kathmandu or in Pokhara. The entrance fee is NRS 2,000. The Conservation area is:- Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA), Manaslu Conservation Area (MAA), Gaurishankar Conservation Area (GCA). Kanchenjunga Conservation Area (KCA) permits managed by the department of the National Parks & Wild Conservation (DNPWC) and only they provide this card to the trekkers.
Trekking Permits for Restricted Areas
These permits are specially for the conservation areas of Nepal. Only an authorized trekking company can apply for this permit and the Department of the Immigration will provide the permits but you should have to apply in advance for this permit. while you can’t go alone in trekking in conservation areas. It is not allowed at all. Only groups or more than 1 people can trek with a guide on this kind of area. The permit fee will depend on the choice of the place you want to trek.
National Park entrance fee
Nepal had a quite number of National parks and everyone can visit there but before entry, you need to give an entrance fee at the door of National Park. There are Sagarmatha National Park, Langtang National Park, Chitwan National Park, Shey-Phoksundo National Park, Bardiya National Park, etc. Tourist have to pay Nrs3000 entrance fee for national park and besides national park traveler can go can see the one and only Hunting Reserve of Nepal, Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve and to get entry there you have to pay Nrs 3000 and wildlife reserve like Shukla Phanta Wildlife Reserve, Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, etc and the entrance fee is Nrs 1000 per day.

You need to arrange through the trekking company and only one person cant apply for this permit you need a more than a person to do mountaineering in mountain peaks. You can get the 33 peaks climbing permits from The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) expect Mera Peak and other mountain peak climbing permits you can get from the Ministry of Cultural, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MOCTCA).
